Like many people, Jeff Rose is very particular about his morning routine. Along with waking up early each day, Rose likes to keep a journal of what he hopes to accomplish for the next day. Rose does this by writing down the tasks he wants to achieve the night before a new day. He does this by keeping a few notecards by his bed.

By keeping this material close to him right before he falls asleep, Rose can easily reflect on the day that has passed. Reflection can be as simple as considerting three events during the day that struck you as significance -- no matter how big or small.

Finally, Rose stresses trying your best to go to bed in a happy state, so that you are able to wake up the following morning happy, as well.
