In this video, Entrepreneur Network partner Brian Tracy lays out a few strategies for achieving your goals and how to plan their progression beforehand. The practice of setting goals can drastically change the professional, personal and financial aspects of your life -- and it's important to be clear about the direction of your goals. By simply establishing defined goals for your life, you can easily set yourself apart from the pack. The reality is many people do not have a clear idea of what they really want.

Tracy advises those hoping to reach their goals to first write down their objectives. The act of writing a goal down can solidify the idea and make it a larger part of your day-to-day progress. Another worthwhile tip is setting clear deadlines for your intended achievements. Even if the initial deadline is not reached, set another date and continue to strive for your goal.

Furthermore, it is important to pinpoint the obstacles, required skills and contacts you should reach out to when considering how you will get to your desired result. These steps in setting up a clear action plan can help establish a more motivated mindset that will drive you toward your goals.

Finally, organize all these steps into a comprehensive plan, broken down into the tasks you can accomplish for the upcoming days and weeks. The most important aspect is to think ahead and prioritize.
