1. Credit Ratings Agency Moody's says Flipkart acquisition by Walmart is "credit positive'. The US retail giant bought 77 percent in India's biggest ecommerce company from Softbank to battle it out with its biggest competition in the online space, Amazon Inc.

2. In a rude shock, oil prices were hiked soon after the Karnataka polls pushing petrol prices at a 56-month peak and diesel prices at a record high. Last year, state-owned oil marketing companies gave up the practice of revising rates twice every month and adopted dynamic daily price revision.
